Who We Are

Amanda Arnett

Owner

Amanda is the Owner of A2 Dance Center. Amanda's educational journey began at Ball State University, where she studied Dance, honing her skills and passion for the art form. She was a member of the Code Red Dance Team. She continued her academic pursuits at Purdue University, where she furthered her dance education and became a member of the Purdue Contemporary Dance Company and a baton twirler for the Purdue All-American Marching Band. 

 

Amanda's journey didn't stop there. She went on to achieve a Master's degree in kinesiology and coaching, demonstrating her commitment to advancing her knowledge and expertise in the field. In addition, she has completed significant coursework towards a PhD in education, further solidifying her position as a knowledgeable and accomplished professional.

 

With over a decade of teaching experience under her belt, Amanda is passionate about  nurturing and inspiring young dancers. Her coaching has propelled her dance teams to national finals and her commitment to continuous learning is evident in her multitude of certifications within the dance industry. 

 

Amanda firmly believes that the dance studio is not only a place to perfect technique but also a platform to foster resilience, discipline, and self-expression. With an unyielding dedication to her students' holistic growth as both artists and athletes, Amanda strives to create an environment where curiosity is nurtured, challenges are embraced, and each student is empowered to discover their unique potential.

Mallory Johnson

Lafayette Director

Mallory Johnson is a skilled and dedicated professional with over five years of experience in the dance field. Mallory has successfully crafted and staged multiple routines that have been competed at both state and national levels. Her passion for dance and commitment to excellence shines through in her work, as she consistently strives to make a positive impact on her students. With her expertise and talent, Mallory is a valuable asset to the A2 Dance Center team, bringing creativity, skill, and a genuine desire to help students reach their fullest potential.

Destiny Jenkins

Instructor

Destiny Jenkins is an accomplished dance instructor known for her meticulous attention to detail. With a passion for dance and a commitment to excellence, Destiny's magnetic personality makes her a fan-favorite among the students.

Destiny trained at Lafayette Jefferson's Rohrman Performing Arts Center. It was here that she honed her skills in ballet, jazz, and hip hop under the guidance of Amanda Arnett. Destiny was a Hip Hop National Finalist at the UDA National Dance Team Championship and a talented competitor in the Indiana state circuit.

Destiny specializes in acro, tumbling, and hip hop. She pushes students out of their comfort zones and instills in them a sense of discipline, resilience, and a strong work ethic. By setting high expectations and demanding excellence, she prepares her students for challenges on and off the dance floor. Her high standards, coupled with her compassionate guidance, creates an environment where students are challenged to reach their full potential.
